Each truck is printed in high-resolution, grey resin as a single part. The printing supports are removed for you (the few remaining "nubs" can be easily filed off but are hidden in areas not seen during normal operation). Simply paint with your favorite color ... lacquer or acrylic ... weather, pop in the wheelsets, and let 'em roll.

Russel 38" Wheelbase Log Trucks

Russel Wheel & Foundry Company manufactured railroad cars, wheelsets, logging equipment, and lighthouses in their Detroit, MI factory between 1870 and 1916. "Skeleton" log cars were built using trucks with and without brakes. Below is an ad from 1905 showing a typical log car with air brake system.

J&S 48" Wheelbase Passenger Truck

The Jackson & Sharp Company, based in Delaware, began production of narrow gauge passenger cars, street trollies, and ships, in 1870. Several examples exist today on "Maine 2-foot" equipment in New England museums.

This On30 truck is designed to accept Kadee® 24" diameter "Griffin" wheelsets (included as an option). Coil springs are cosmetic and installed for you.
